A partner relationship established between IJO and ICO

Since its establishment in 2000, International Journal of Ophthalmology (IJO) has gained valuable instructions and strongly supports from International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO). Prof. G O H Naumann (Ex-President of ICO) and Prof. Bruce E Spivey (President of ICO) have been invited to serve as the General Scientific Advisors consecutively. Prof. G O H Naumann recommended IJO to open a news column---International Corner, to report the Ophthalmology news in time. IJO achieved a high attention from ICO especially after it was indexed by SCI expanded, PubMed, PubMed central. Recently, President/Chief Editor Xiu-Wen Hu reported the latest development of IJO and proposed to establish a friendly and cooperative relation between IJO and ICO. Prof. Bruce E Spivey and other leaders of ICO approved of this suggestion greatly. Therefore, IJO will open an column named “ICO column” to report the latest news about ICO on IJO website.
