A preliminary study on the establishment of an animal model of conjunctivochalasis

结膜松弛症动物模型建立的初步研究

The study aimed to explore a feasible method on the establishment of an animal model of conjunctivochalasis. The authors found that the anatomical and histological features of the conjunctiva in rabbits who accepted subconjunctival injection of matrix metalloproteinase-3 were the loose connection between the inferior bulbar conjunctiva and sclera; the disordered collagen fibers and the broken elastic fibers; the focal necrosis of fibroblasts. The results provided strong evidence that subconjunctival injection of matrix metalloproteinase may be a feasible method for the construction of an animal model of conjunctivochalasis.

该研究旨在探讨建立结膜松弛症动物模型的可行性方法。作者发现兔子结膜下注射基质金属蛋白酶-3后,解剖和组织学上呈现下方球结膜与巩膜连接松弛、胶原纤维排列紊乱、弹性纤维断裂、成纤维细胞局灶性坏死。研究结果有力的证明结膜下注射基质金属蛋白酶是构建结膜松弛动物模型的可行性方法。

Short term effect of choroid thickness in the horizontal meridian detected by spectral domain optical coherence tomography in myopic children after orthokeratology

SD-OCT检测角膜塑形镜治疗对近视儿童脉络膜水平子午线厚度的短期影响

The authors believe it was the first study to measure changes in the choroid thickness in both the horizontal and vertical meridians after Ortho-K in children with progressive myopia. While changes in the axial length were negatively correlated with the increased thickness of the choroid. These findings are consistent with a potential role of the choroid in the development of human refractive error treatment.

作者首次报道了进行性近视儿童角膜塑形镜治疗后脉络膜水平和垂直子午线的厚度变化。眼轴长度变化与脉络膜厚度增加呈负相关。这些发现与脉络膜在治疗屈光不正进展中的潜在作用一致。

Nanotechnology in retinal drug delivery

纳米技术在视网膜药物输送中的应用


An exploration of literature via PubMed spanning from 2007 to 2017 was conducted to identify studies that have evaluated nanotechnology as platforms for delivering the rapeutic agents to the posterior segment of the eye where the retina is located. Until now, four routes that have been utilized for retinal drug delivery are the intravitreal, periocular, subretinal, and systemic routes. In this review, specific eye anatomy and constraints on ocular drug administration are illustrated. Further, we list and highlight several examples of nanosystems, such as hydrogels, liposomes, dendrimers, and micelles, used via different drug delivery routes to treat various retinal diseases.

作者检索了20072017PubMed数据库中应用纳米技术输送治疗药物至视网膜的相关文献。迄今为止,可用于视网膜药物输送的四种途径分别是玻璃体内、球周、视网膜下和全身路径。文章中阐述了眼部解剖学特点和眼部给药的制约因素。同时,列出并强调了几个纳米系统的实例,如水凝胶、脂质体、树枝状大分子和微胶粒,它们通过不同的药物输送途径治疗各种视网膜疾病。

Refractive surgery: the most cost-saving technique in refractive errors correction

屈光手术:矫正屈光不正最经济的方法


This paper compares the economic burden of spectacles, contact lenses, and refractive surgery in correction of refractive errors in order to introduce the most cost-saving technique in refractive errors correction which has a conclusion of using the refractive surgery instead of other two correction methods has the ability to reduce this economic loss in the future. 

该文通过对比框架眼镜、隐形眼镜和屈光手术矫正屈光不正的经济负担,探讨矫正屈光不正最经济的方法。结果显示从长远看来进行屈光手术最能减少经济损失。
