【Recommended Reason】This study explored the molecular mechanisms in lens development and the pathogenesis of Peters anomaly in Smad4 defective mice and demonstrate the role of E-cadherin and N-cadherin in this process. Authors propose that the Twist2 plays an essential role in the lens development. These results may well pave the way to improve the clinical diagnosis and therapeutic schedule of Peters anomaly.

该研究探索了晶状体发育过程中的分子机制和Smad4基因敲除小鼠Peters异常的发病机理,并表明了在此过程中E-钙黏蛋白和N-钙黏蛋白的作用。作者提出Twist2在晶状体发育过程中发挥着至关重要的作用。文章的研究结果有利于Peters异常的临床诊断和治疗方案的选择。

【Recommended Reason】Acute optic nerve injury, which is caused by trauma, ischemia or glaucoma, often leads to retinal ganglion cell damage accompanied by the activation of astrocytes, microglial cells and oligodendrocytes. This study explored the effects of αA-crystallin in astrocyte gliosis after optic nerve crush and the mechanism of α-crystallin in neuroprotection and axon regeneration. The results suggest α-crystallin promotes the axon regeneration of RGCs and suppresses the activation of astrocytes.

外伤、局部缺血或青光眼会造成急性视神经损伤,通常将导致视神经节细胞损伤伴随星形胶质细胞、小神经胶质细胞和少突细胞的活化。本文研究了视神经损伤后αA-晶状体蛋白对星形胶质细胞增生的影响和α-晶状体蛋白对神经保护和视神经轴突再生的机制。结果显示α-晶状体蛋白会促进视网膜神经节细胞轴突再生和抑制星形胶质细胞活化。

Epidemiology and risk factors of retinoblastoma in Chongqing area  2016,9(7):984-988 

重庆地区视网膜母细胞瘤的流行性及危险因素

【Recommended Reason】This study analyzes the main risk factors of retinoblastoma related to life-style and environment of parents. It shows that the living place of parents, mother who feed pets before pregnant, exposure on harmful chemicals of father before pregnant are the risk factors of retinoblastoma which affects the occurrence of retinoblastoma in a certain extent.

该研究就双亲的生活习惯和环境分析了视网膜母细胞瘤的主要影响因素。文章表明双亲生活区域环境、孕前母亲饲养宠物、孕前父亲接触有害化学物质均在一定程度上可诱发视网膜母细胞瘤。

Sub-threshold micro-pulse diode laser treatment in diabetic macular edema: a Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials  2016,9(7):1020-1027

【Recommended Reason】In order to compare the difference of clinical outcomes between Sub-shreshold micropulse Diode Laser Photocoagulation (SDM) and traditional modified Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study (mETDRS) in diabetic macular edema, the authors searched the available papers related Randomized Controlled Trials. By comparing the Best Corrected Visual Acuity (BCVA) and the Central Macular Thickness (CMT) in SDM and mETDRS groups at several different time points after treatment, the author conclude that SDM has a good effect on visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, and reduction of DME as mETDRS does, but with less retinal damage.

为了比较亚阈值微脉冲半导体激光光凝与传统改良糖尿病视网膜病变早期治疗研究在治疗糖尿病性黄斑水肿的临床结果之间的差异,作者搜索了相关随机对照试验,通过比较治疗后各个时间点两组的最佳矫正视力,黄斑中心厚度,得出结论:微脉冲半导体激光光凝治疗与传统改良糖尿病视网膜病变早期治疗同样可以提高视力,改善对比敏感度,减轻黄斑水肿,但对视网膜损伤更小。

【Recommended Reason】The authors have simulated for a specific femtosecond laser platform for cataract surgery that is currently available in the market which are the conditions necessary to obtain a financial benefit with this technique after estimating the potential cash flow achievable with this surgical procedure using fuzzy logic.

作者模拟了一个特定的飞秒激光白内障手术系统平台,该系统目前已在市场使用,运用模糊逻辑方法评估该手术治疗的潜在现金流,同时也是获得经济利益的必要条件。
