Viscocanalostomy  combined with trabeculotomy and mitomycin C in the treatment of primary  congenital glaucoma

The main  message of this paper is that viscocanalostomy combined with trabeculotomy  and mitomycin C is useful in the management of primary congenital glaucoma.

文章主旨在于揭示黏弹剂小管扩张术结合小梁切除术和丝裂霉素C对原发性先天性青光眼的治疗有显著效果。



 

Frequency of diabetic retinopathy and associated  risk factors in Khartoum, Sudan: population based study

糖尿病视网膜病变在苏丹的发生率及相关危险因素:基于人群的研究

Within the last 25 years, very few studies about  diabetes in Sudan were published. In this study the authors have shown that  the prevalence of diabetic retinopathy is around 83.9%. This is the first  large population study to address the risk factors associated with high  prevalence of diabetic retinopathy in the capital Khartoum. The study may  fill the gap in knowledge about diabetes in Sudan and will allow health  policy makers to provide the best diabetes care.

25年里,仅有非常少的关于苏丹的糖尿病研究文章发表。研究显示,当地糖尿病视网膜病变的发生率为83.9%。这是第一次大规模人群研究,以期解决首都喀土穆糖尿病视网膜病变的高发病率与相关的危险因素。该研究可能会填补苏丹糖尿病知识领域的空白,并使卫生决策定专家能够提供最好的糖尿病护理。

Effect of  sorafenib in a murine high risk penetrating keratoplasty model

索拉非尼对小鼠高危穿透性角膜移植模型的影响

This  paper shows that sorafenib can decrease lymphangiogenesis than dexamethasone,  and decreased lymphangiogenesis by sorafenib attributed to increased graft  survival in high risk keratoplasty.

该研究表明相对于地塞米松,索拉非尼可降低淋巴管的新生,而这一降低可促进高危穿透性角膜移植物的存活。

 


Scutellaria  barbata attenuates diabetic retinopathy by preventing retinal inflammation  and the decreased expression of tight junction protein

半枝莲通过预防视网膜炎症和减少紧密连接蛋白的表达减轻糖尿病视网膜病变

This study aims  to observe the attenuation of ethanol extract of Herba Scutellariae barbatae  (SE), a traditional Chinese herbal medicine generally used for clearing heat  and removing toxicity, against diabetic retinopathy and its engaged  mechanism. The results show the huge potential application of Scutellariae  barbatae in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy.

该研究主要观察传统中草药半枝莲醇提物对糖尿病视网膜病变和其参与机制的削弱作用,结果显示半枝莲醇提物在治疗糖尿病视网膜病变上具有巨大的潜在应用价值。

 


A Chinese  family with Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome: report of the clinical and genetic findings

一个Axenfeld-Rieger综合征中国家系的临床与遗传学特征

Axenfeld-Rieger  syndrome (ARS) is characterized by bilateral congenital abnormalities of the  anterior segment of the eye associated with abnormalities of the teeth,  midface, and umbilicus. Most cases of ARS are caused by mutations in the  genes encoding PITX2 or FOXC1. The authors reported the first intronic  mutation of the PITX2 gene in the pathogenesis of a severe form of ARS in a  Chinese family. This study highlights the importance of a systematic search  for intronic mutation in families affected by ARS and in sporadic cases for  which no mutations in the PITX2 have been found.

Axenfeld-Rieger综合征常表现为双眼前段先天异常、颌面部及脐部异常。病因大多为编码PITX2FOXC1的基因突变。作者报道了一个严重的Axenfeld-Rieger综合征中国家系PITX2基因第一内含子的突变。此项研究强调了对该家系内含子基因突变的系统性检测,并且该综合征的散发病例并未发现相似的PITX2基因突变。

 


Effect of pyridone agent  on blood-retinal barrier in diabetic mice

吡啶酮对糖尿病大鼠血视网膜屏障的作用

Fluorofenidone is  a novel pyridone agent, which could ameliorate fibrosis in diabetic nephropathy. The present study was to evaluate  the effect of fluorofenidone on blood-retinal barrier in the diabetic mice  and the findings showed that fluorofenidone significantly reversed retinal  vascular leakage.

一种新型吡啶酮-氟非尼酮,对糖尿病肾病起到抗器官纤维化的作用。文章研究了氟非尼酮对糖尿病大鼠血视网膜屏障的作用,其结果表明氟非尼酮能有效缓解视网膜血管渗漏。
